The title comes from a quotation by Dr. Seuss:

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

This site is primarily for the students in my classes, past and present, but all language learners and teachers are welcome. My goal for this blog is to add a new tool or site once a week (usually on Mondays) that will help you “read and know, learn and go” in English. And I’d add to those verbs: think, guess, listen, watch, talk, share, write about, question and be curious.

If you’re looking for more ideas, go to …an idea a day for a new topic every weekday.

Update (September 2014)

Back from a break in August, I’ve decided to continue with this project, but to post a new tool just once a week, probably with some time off in August and March. Doing it every day was taking up a bit more time than I wanted to give to this project, and there are already many, many tools (more than 350 right now) on the site.
