Histography is an interactive timeline of … well, everything.
The About page says that it spans 14 billion years, from the Big Bang to today. The data is taken from Wikipedia, and the timeline is updated automatically every time a new event is added.
The green section contains editorial stories and the pink section contains everything.
You can switch back and forth between editorial and everything just by clicking the green or pink square at the top. Here’s an example of an editorial story:
In the pink “everything” section, you can browse by year or decade, and you an browse by category (literature, war, music, politics, assassinations, inventions, disasters, and many more). You can select the range of years you want to see: you can look at the events from just one year, or you can see all events for, say, six hundred years (the range selection slider is at the bottom of the page).
