Web of Stories is a collection of autobiographical video stories by people: authors, artists, scientists, and more. You can browse and search the site in a variety of ways. Each person’s story is broken down into small, subtitled sections, so you can easily find snippets of stories of wisdom, courage, and much, much more. It’s also a good place to listen to a variety of different accents and dialects of English.

I did a quick search of “Japan” just to see what was there, and I found this one, by a scientist I’m not familiar with, but his story about tongues and speaking English in Japan was funny (this one has a transcript, too):
Registration is not necessary to view the videos, but if you do sign up, you can add your own stories as well as use some of the other functions on the site.
