Instant Classroom

Instant Classroom is a tool for teachers, but it’s useful for students, too: to make random groups for class discussions, club activities, or other events.

To start, click on “Create a Group Now” (at the bottom of the page) and you’ll see this:

If your group name is available, you’ll get this prompt next:

You’ll use this e-mail and password to log in.

To make groups, you just type in the names of the members. Your editing/group making page will look like this:



Then you have two choices about how to make groups: by number of people per group or by number of groups:


There’s no “log in” to click. To log in, you’ll do this:


Then it will ask for your password. If you forget, you can reset it.
