The English word “mug” can mean a cup you use to drink your coffee, but it can also mean “someone’s face”. It’s pretty informal, so be careful if you use it, and if you want to know how “mug” is used as a verb, look it up (or ask me).
The image below is from a site called Writers Mugs, and it’s using the latter meaning of mug (face), not the former (cup), although you could put the mug (face) on your coffee mug and have the best of both worlds.
The site is a collection of art work by a California artist, who has drawn faces of famous writers. It’s also a collection of those writers’ famous quotations.
Use the quotations to get inspiration, or for an “attention getter” for your research or writing. And if you want to buy any of the artist’s works, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind.
Keep in mind that these quotations may be “free” to use, but the art is not. Make sure you attribute and hyperlink.
