Youngzine

Youngzine’s target audience is children but I think the site can be very useful for language learners of any age. You can learn about the government shutdown in the U.S. or other world events in simpler language, read short pieces written by younger learners, browse comics, and play games.

U Write / U Share / U Review

These are short pieces created by younger learners and they include fiction, non-fiction, drawings and movie/book/website reviews.

Playzine

This section has comics, games and more videos.

This game is pretty low-tech but it’s a good review for simpler vocabulary and the many uses you can find for different words. It’s called Word Vine and the goal is to link two words together to make a new word:

gold + fish = goldfish (金魚)

sword + fish = swordfish (メカジキ)

How would you link the remaining two words?
