Do you know any good urban legends?

There are plenty about ghosts, I’m sure. When I was living in Yokohama, there was a tunnel that everyone said was haunted. When you drove through, the legend went, you could hear the scream of someone who had died there. I’ve always been skeptical about those stories (there’s certainly a rational explanation, involving wind and speed), but they’re good conversation starters.

Notice, students, that they have cited their sources. Please don’t forget how important that is.
